Federal Tax Rebates
The Federal Government supports a program for home buyers who have not owned a home in 3 years, that gives them tax rebates that could add up to $25,000. (detailed information)

First Time Homebuyer Bond Money
First time home buyers or buyers who haven't owned a home in 3 years can be eligible for interest rates as low as 4.25%. (detailed information)

Zero Move-In Costs
There is a program available that will allow you to buy a new $125,000 home in the Austin vicinity at Zero move-in
cost

Down Payment Assistance
First time homebuyers (those who have not owned a home in three years or more) may be entitled to a non-interest bearing loan from half of the buyer's down payment to 100% of the buyer's down payment, enabling the buyer to purchase with absolutely no money out-of pocket. (detailed information)

Zero Down Financing
Down payment and closing costs can be rolled into the principal of the loan. That could give you a Zero $ down payment financing. (detailed information)

Low Interest Home Improvement
The City of Austin Electric Company has a program, that allows home owners to borrow up to $10,000 for home improvements at 0% interest rate. (detailed information)

FHA Approval
The Federal Housing Administration has a program that can approve a buyer for a home improvement loan even
before purchasing a home. (detailed information)

Mortgage Credit Certificates
The buyer is eligible for an income tax credit equal to 1/4 of all interest paid on the mortgage, with savings of up to $150 a month, for a total savings of $35,000 or more! This program is limited to qualified buyers who have not owned a home in 3 years. (detailed information)

Targeted Area Down Payment Assistance
Qualified first time homebuyers who purchase a new home in specified areas may receive a gift and/or loan of up to $8,000 from the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation for closing costs and down payment assistance, provided funds are available. (detailed information)

USDA Home Loans
This program is for first time homeowners earning less than $45,000 per year (family of two) or $56,000 per year (family of four) and combines low interest rates & "no money down" features for new energy efficient homes in rural areas. (detailed information)
